Staff Writer Susan Kuczka’s Jan. 14 story headlined “Libertyville mayor taking a break”(MetroLake) contained erroneous information.
While it is a good article on candidates for the spring elections, it contains one glaring error. It lists 24-year veteran Richard Welton as the dean of Lake County mayors.
Mayor Welton is a fine individual. But candidate Bernard Forrest of Deerfield is a 28-year veteran and is running unopposed in his bid for his eighth term as mayor.
