Nine days on the road at the Super Bowl usually means some emergencies on the home front. Our close call came when 9-year-old Sam came down with a rash all over his upper body. Sam’s mom was ready to take him to the clinic when a doctor asked, “Has he introduced any new foods or been wearing any new clothes?” Bingo. Sam had been wearing a brand new Patriot jersey nonstop for three days. Turns out my son is allergic to the Patriots. There should have been a message there.
