Thank God for Joan Beck!
She sweeps away the cobwebs and lets us see the issues unadorned by gender, class or race bias. She also lets us see ourselves for what we frequently are–nearsighted, prejudiced fools, beguiled by looks and charm, unable to distinguish fact from fantasy.
