I am concerned about the proposed mall at U.S. Highway 12 and Old McHenry Road.

First, there is no major east-west road that will bring traffic into the mall. Most successful malls are located at a junction that provides access both east-west and north-south. (example, Woodfield, Old Orchard, OakBrook). If there is no easy access and the mall fails, we will have another empty, failed shopping center.

If living close to a busy, active mall is appalling, living next to a dead eyesore is worse!
