Derrick Hardaway, the younger of two brothers charged in the Sept. 1, 1994, murder of Robert Sandifer, is scheduled to be sentenced this week. Hardaway, 16, was convicted of murder for helping lure Sandifer to his death while he was hiding from police, as they sought him in connection with the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl. Hardaway’s brother, Cragg, is awaiting retrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict and a mistrial was declared.

Sentencing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday before Cook County Circuit Judge Daniel Kelley in Room 702 at 2600 S. California Ave.
