I believe that Jewel-Osco and Dominick’s are engaged in a marketing procedure that is wrong.
Some products are advertised on sale for a low price, but small print shows a higher price if you do not have “their card.” A card should not be necessary. Also, why does a cash-paying customer have to provide name/address to obtain a card? What is the real reason behind their promotion?
A fair practice would be one that lowers prices for all.
