Chilean President Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle’s first visit to Chicago will be to mark the 40th anniversary of the enrollment of Chilean graduate students at the University of Chicago’s Economics Department.
More than 100 Chilean students have attended classes at the U. of C. since an arrangement with the Catholic University of Chile was worked out 40 years ago.
