The Will County Regional Board of Education on Monday will resume a hearing on a request by parents in Jackson Township to splinter from Joliet Township High School District 204.

The parents, who have Elwood or Manhattan mailing addresses, have asked to detach from the district in order to join Lincoln-Way High School District 210.

The students in the affected area attend the Manhattan elementary school district and then go to Joliet High School, while the majority of their elementary classmates go on to Lincoln-Way High School in New Lenox.
