Casimir Pulaski Day, March 3, is a local holiday. The following public services are affected:

– Schools: Public schools in Chicago will be closed. Closings vary for suburban and private schools.

– Government offices: Federal and state offices will be open. Cook County and City of Chicago offices will be closed. Offices in DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will Counties will be open.

– Postal service: Mail will be delivered.

– Courts: Federal and state courts will be open. Cook County courts will be closed, except for Holiday Court. Courts in DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties will be open.

– Banks, S&Ls: Will be open.

– Financial markets: Will be open.

– Parking: Meters in Chicago must be fed.

– Transit: The CTA, Metra and Pace will operate on normal schedules.
