Carol Jouzaitis’ interesting Page 1 article (“Cold reality of welfare reform,” Feb. 24) is a sad story. Her discovery that welfare reform is not working well and that it is showing deep, difficult fallout is too sadly true, not only in Milwaukee but also in Chicago.
Please assign a story on welfare reform in Chicago– there are many poor, homeless, jobless people who need help now. The few shelters, pantries and soup kitchens need money, personnel and space for their charitable works.
