David H. Hartstein, 88, of Niles, founder of Archer Auto Parts in Chicago, died Friday in Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. For 40 years, Mr. Hartstein co-owned the auto parts store with his brother Jack. Mr. Hartstein retired from that business and then worked part time for 22 years at Shimpo Electronics in Skokie. He was active in B’nai B’rith and the Meyer Kaplan Jewish Community Center in Skokie. Survivors include two daughters, Eileen Zoll and Eleanor Blustein; another brother; and five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Piser Weinstein Menorah Chapels, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie.
