Unitrin Inc. reported first-quarter net income climbed 33 percent, to $33.7 million, or 90 cents per share, from $25.4 million, or 66 cents per share, a year earlier.
The Chicago-based insurer said revenue rose less than 1 percent, to $382.1 million from $380.6 million.
