So just what is an amber bock? Or a pale ale? And why are they so much more expensive than, say, the beer in the red-and-white can advertised by talking frogs? This weekend’s Midwest International Beer Exposition at the Morgan Market, 375 N. Morgan St., can answer your most nagging beer questions while also offering tastes of hundreds of brews. The three-day non-profit expo is expected to draw 3,000 people, including renowned British beer expert Michael Jackson. The festivities will be fizzing over with tastings of 50 beers, daily seminars (including “Beer & Hospitality” and “All About Stout”) and three meals.

Tickets still remain for the Legends of Beer Dinner (7 p.m. Saturday at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, 361 W. Chestnut St., $75) and the New Orleans Brunch (at the Morgan Market, 11 a.m. Sunday, $35). General admission is $25; seminars, $20. 847-678-007
