An Elgin man has been arrested for allegedly promising three 15-year-old girls marijuana or $90 cash to pose in sexually suggestive positions so that he could use their photographs on the Internet, McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren announced Friday.
John Maggi, 31, of 1484-B Todd Farm Drive was being held in McHenry County Jail on $20,000 bond after making the offer to the girls on May 6 in an Algonquin-area fast-food restaurant, Nygren said.
An employee of the restaurant saw the girls posing in a position that revealed their undergarments and notified sheriff’s police.
Maggi was arrested after an investigation and charged with aggravated battery.
