Mayor Richard Daley has proclaimed May 18 through 25 Chicago Bike Week, and a full schedule of events is planned, including bike tours, a bike auction, acrobatics demonstrations and a maintenance course.
One of the highlights will be a Bike to Work Day Rally from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Monday in Daley Plaza, Clark and Washington Streets.
Cyclists can join celebrities for a free breakfast, raffles, blood-pressure screenings and bike registration.
