I commend the Tribune for its support of domestic partnerships prior to the passage of the city ordinance extending health benefits to gay and lesbian partners. And the column by Mary Schmich (Metro, March 14) gave an accurate portrayal of the lives that gays and lesbians live and the need for such an ordinance. Thank you for being fair in this process.
