I’m not 100 percent certain about this, but I think I read somewhere that Lt. Columbo’s car, a “European beater” as you so eloquently describe it (“Crime Solvers,” Arts & Entertainment, April 27) is more specifically a 1970 Volvo. I’m even less certain of which model.
