Sales are under way at Realen Homes four new communities in the Chicago area, Union Commons, Brookstone, Pine Valley at Gregg’s Landing and Windbridge at Royal Hill. A fifth community, Wooded Glen, has entered its second phase of sales.

Union Commons in Wheeling is a community of 40 one- and two-story townhouses.

Four home designs range from 1,327 to 1,938 square feet and include a two-car garage and patio or balcony, preconstruction priced from $149,900. For information, call 847-229-1000.

Pine Valley in Vernon Hills is a community of 43 single-family homes located within the Cuneo Estate and adjoining the White Deer Run golf course.

All floor plans are two-story and range from 2,524 to 3,524 square feet with four bedrooms, a basement and two-car garage. Preconstruction prices start at $348,990. For information, call 847-362-2323.

Brookstone in Schaumburg features 48 one- and two-story townhouses ranging from 1,327 to 1,938 square feet. Floor plans include two or three bedrooms, two to three baths, two-car garage and patio or balcony.

Windridge at Royal Hill offers 55 homes in six designs. They range from 2,224 to 3,413 square feet and are priced from $189,900. For information, call 847-458-8900.

Wooded Glen’s second phase includes 20 homes priced from $208,900. Five floor plans range from 2,224 to 3,413 square feet and include basements and two-car garages. For information, call 847-548-4884.

– Three United Homes communities–Bristol Park, Meadows of Williams Glen, and Royal Hill–are approaching closeout.

Bristol Park is a 196-unit townhouse community in south suburban Tinley Park. Eleven homes remain for sale, including three decorated models.

Three floor plans range from 1,325 to 1,559 square feet with two or three bedrooms, two or 2 1/2 baths, basements and attached two-car garages. Priced from $147,990 to $167,990, the homes include upgrades such as fireplaces, deluxe master suites, and upgraded cabinets and carpeting.

The three models at Bristol Park are priced from $170,900 to $199,900. The remaining homes have delivery dates ranging from immediate to September.

The monthly association fee is $87.50.

Royal Hill in Algonquin has 24 homes remaining, with eight available for immediate occupancy.

The community has seven two-story and ranch floor plans ranging from 1,790 to 3,181 square feet. They include three to five bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 3 baths, basement and two-car garage. The homes include fully sodded lots measuring a quarter-acre or larger.

Royal Hill adjoins High Hill Park and Nature Preserve, which features a bike path, creek, botanical gardens, and a wetlands area.

The Meadows of Williams Glen, an 85-home community in west suburban Bolingbrook, has one two-story home remaining.

The 2,568-square-foot Magnolia features four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, full garden basement and attached two-car garage. Priced from $197,700, the Magnolia’s upgrades include a fireplace in the family room, small deck and central air conditioning.

– D.R. Horton Custom Homes is offering its last 15 homes at Victoria Meadows in west suburban Oswego for 30- to 60-day delivery.

An elementary school is under construction within Victoria Meadows and is scheduled to open for the 1997-98 school year. The community also offers a neighborhood park, which is maintained by the Oswego Park District, and bike trails which link with trails maintained by the village.

Ten single-family floor plans are available, with 1,534 to 2,135 square feet, three or four bedrooms, basement, and two or 2 1/2 baths. Prices range from $143,500 to $172,900. Several plans have lofts, dens or libraries.

Options incllude central air conditioning, gas fireplaces, skylights, full basements and whirlpool tubs.

Victoria Meadows is on Old Post Road, one block west of New Douglas Road in Oswego.

– Two decorated models are open at Sienna, Concord Homes’ community of 106 townhouses in Wheeling. The Hanbury and Claridge designs are priced from $160,490 to $174,490 and offer several customization options.

The two-story Hanbury can be customized to include two to four bedrooms and 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths with its nine design options.

The Claridge, a raised-ranch floor plan, has 11 optional designs ranging from 1,305 to 1,763 square feet. They can include up to five bedrooms and three baths. The standard Claridge includes two bedrooms, one bath, a combined living and dining area, loft and basement.

Sienna homes offer side- and rear-load garages. The sales office is on the south side of Geneva Drive, at 1633 Geneva Drive, just east of Wheeling Road. Sales hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.

– D.R. Horton Custom Homes has added a new one-story townhouse plan at The Courtyards of Orchard Valley, a development in west suburban Aurora. A model is under construction and scheduled to open for visitors by the end of May.

Priced from $129,900, the one-bedroom, one-bath layout features an open living/dining area with fireplace, kitchen with pantry, enclosed deck, and basement. The basement can be finished into a fmaily room and full bath, or a bedroom, den and full bath.

A second story is also optional on the new plan, which can be made into two bedrooms, or one bedroom and a loft overlooking the living and dining rooms. A full bath is included with both options.

The Courtyards of Orchard Valley includes 190 townhouses priced from $109,900 to $129,900. Four other floor plans range from 1,257 to 1,604 square feet and include two or three bedrooms and two or 2 1/2 baths. Rear-load, two-car garages are standard.

Several spec homes are available for immediate delivery.

– Brighton Homes Inc. will open two decorated models–the Sedgewick and Wyntree–at Brighton Ponds, a community of 166 single-family homes in far north suburban Zion, on May 31.

The 1,755-square-foot Sedgewick includes three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a patio off the kitchen, and an upstairs balcony.

The Wyntree is a 1,402-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath ranch. The formal living and dining rooms feature volume ceilings.

Homes at Brighton Ponds range from 1,402 to 1,755 square feet and offer three or four bedrooms, two or 2 1/2 baths and attached two-car garages. All have nine-foot or volume ceilings on first floors.

Several exterior elevations with maintenance-free aluminum siding or combinations of brick and siding are offered. Prices range from $124,900 to $139,900, including lot.

The community includes a 2 1/2-acre recreational area at its center.

– Rembrandt Homes is offering a $15,000 options incentive on three homes available for early delivery at St. Andrews of Gregg’s Landing in Vernon Hills.

St. Andrews of Gregg’s Landing is a neighborhood within a master-planned 1,100-acre golf course community. Built on the former site of the Cuneo estate, the community will include 112 homes.

The three homes feature stone, stucco, cedar and brick exteriors and are priced from $384,185. Lots are quarter of an acre or larger.

St. Andrews of Gregg’s Landing is located on Butterfield Road, 1.5 miles north of Town Line Road (Illinois Highway 60).
