According to the latest quarterly employment outlook survey by Manpower Inc., a temporary-help provider, getting a job should be relatively easy this summer. In fact, the forecast for the Midwest is the brightest in 19 years.
Nationally, 30 percent of the companies polled by the Milwaukee-based Manpower said they were looking for additional workers this summer, 3 percent more than last year. In the Midwest, 33 percent of polled employers said they would be hiring.
Hot opportunities in the Midwest are jobs in the construction industry. About 47 percent of construction employers said they anticipated additional hiring this summer.
