Halmer A. Engel, 88, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday in Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. A native of Merrill, Wis., Mr. Engel was a resident at Manor Care in Rolling Meadows. Survivors include two sons, James and Don Scott; a daughter, Donna Jenewein; a brother; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect.
