Edward F. Maher, 79, of Mt. Prospect died Wednesday in Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. Mr. Maher, who was born in Chicago, worked in the automobile industry until he retired in 1984. Survivors include his wife, B. Ione; three daughters, Margaret Roberts, Mary Kathryn Mantia and Joanne Marszalek; a son, Edward; three sisters; three brothers; and four grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect.
