The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is seeking public comment on the Chicago Board of Trade’s proposal to list futures and option contracts on the Dow Jones industrial average. The CFTC said it would take comment on the exchange’s proposal through July 14. Because these are stock-index contracts, the Securities and Exchange Commission must also not object to the listing of the contracts.
