Telular Corp. of Vernon Hills said shipments to a wireless communications project in Hungary, which was halted in February, have yet to resume, and that project delays will hurt its fiscal 1997 and ’98 operating results. Orders of about $48 million are now expected to be less than one quarter of that amount, or $7 million to $10 million, during fiscal 1997 and ’98, which end on Sept. 30. The developer of telecommunications interface technology said it is optimistic the delayed business can be replaced and that it is pursuing “other opportunities of similar magnitude” for fiscal 1998 in Malaysia, China, Pakistan, Guinea, Mexico and Brazil.
