William E. Schmitt, 41, longtime resident of Hoffman Estates, died on June 19 in Chicago. Born in Chicago, he was a truck driver. Survivors include his parents, Edwin and Joan; and a sister. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 467 N. Benton St., Palatine.
