Brother Luke Pearson, 58, assistant principal at Marist High School, died Sunday in the Marist Monastery after a prolonged illness. A Marist brother for 41 years, Brother Pearson had just finished his first year as assistant principal at the Catholic high school. He had served as the school’s campus minister in 1989 and 1990. He also served in Catholic education in other cities across the U.S. and as a missionary in Japan and the Philippines. He obtained a doctorate from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Donaldson, Ind. Survivors include a sister, Catherine. Mass will be said Wednesday in Pelham, N.Y.
