George D. Gilbert, 87, a 30-year resident of Deerfield, died Friday in Highland Park Hospital. Mr. Gilbert served as vice president of the Education Book Division of Prentice Hall in Massachusetts. Survivors include a son, Steve Gilbert; and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday in Fall River, Mass.
