Robert W. Fox, 76, of the Sauganash neighborhood, a retired mechanical engineer and longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, died Sunday. Mr. Fox worked for the Teletype Corp. for 30 years and was a volunteer with the Chicago Area Council and the Indian Boundary District of the Boy Scouts from 1957 until shortly before his death. He served as a Naval aviator in World War II, and retired from the Naval Reserve with the rank of commander. He is survived by his wife, Muriel; a daughter, Barbara Kilgore; a son, Douglas; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Drake & Son Funeral home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 6047 N. Rockwell St., Chicago.
