United Airlines launched Mentor Network 2000, a program designed to recruit 2,000 volunteer employee mentors by the turn of the century. It is a response to April’s Presidents’ Summit for America’s Future, said United Chairman and CEO Gerald Greenwald. The first step is the the launch of 14 youth mentoring programs across the U.S. this fall.
