I recently visited Chicago for two weeks and was very impressed with how lovely the town is. What a terrific surprise!
I grew up in Albany Park, graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago in 1980, and then I moved away from what I thought was a rundown city.
My congratulations to Chicago for planting more trees and picking up the garbage along the roadsides. Also, thanks for the rejuvenated Navy Pier–it was a fun place to take our family.
One thing hasn’t changed, though–the crazy drivers out there. But I look forward to returning to the Windy City!
