William C. “Bill” Iversen, 80, of Des Plaines, who was a retired engineer for Bell & Howell in Chicago and Pasadena, Calif., died Thursday at the Ballard Residence, a nursing home in Des Plaines. A native of Chicago, he had also lived in Ramona, Calif., after his retirement. Mr. Iversen graduated from Lane Technical High School. Mr. Iversen was a past president of the Bell & Howell Pioneer Club. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Valerie Wiker, Jean Fisher and Linda Lidbeck; four stepsons, Wayne and Christopher Crosby and Charles and Thomas Henriksen; three stepdaughters, Janine Moriana, Sally McNamara and Mary Beth Talhami; a sister; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
