If the best movie Richard Christiansen has seen this summer is “Jerry Maguire” then it must have been the only movie he has seen. To call it a classic is almost sacrilegious. To compare it to “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a travesty. In Jimmy Stewart’s movie, one certainly didn’t see children under 12 years old flipping the “finger” at adults or hear adults spew four letter words in conversations with children.
