August S. Greco, 75, a carpenter from Palatine, died Thursday at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Mr. Greco served in the Army in World War II and received the Silver Star. He was a self-employed carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons, Gary and Terry; two daughters, Sherri Ann Shrimplin and Mary Terese Piemonte; two brothers; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect.
