Floyd W. Freund, 77, of Woodstock, died Thursday in his home. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 5040 in Woodstock. He was a 50-year member of Carpenters Local 2087 and was an apprentice teacher for 34 years in the Fox Valley District Council. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois; five sons, Barry, Gregory, Mark, Guy and Kurt; two daughters, Marysue Krause and Deanna Holmer; three brothers; two sisters; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock.
