The Bolingbrook Village Board has approved several retail projects, including a 250,000-square-foot store on the southwest corner of Naperville and Boughton Roads.

The store will be part of the Meijer chain of discount stores. There is to be an adjacent gas station that Meijer will operate.

A 12-screen movie theater at a site near the Naperville-Boughton intersection is slated to open next spring.

An expansion of retail space at a mall that already has a Jewel/Osco food and drugstore also was approved.

The expansion, on West Boughton, will add 17,000 square feet and include a video store, a carryout eatery, a restaurant and a dry cleaner.
