I’m a retired officer of the Tourist Trade in India. During my last visit to Chicago, I had the pleasure of going to Navy Pier.

It being a weekend, thousands of people, old and young, some with infants in strollers, were moving around the pier. I somehow had a feeling that everyone was on the alert against being knocked down by a skater. The authorities controlling Navy Pier should kindly consider prohibiting skating and cycling on the pier, especially on weekends.
