Alice L. MacFarlane, 83, of McHenry, died Tuesday at Samaritan South Hospital in Clinton, Iowa. She was born in Chicago and was a resident of McHenry since 1979. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Kronon Motors Co. and at Seiling Urn Bag Co., both in Chicago. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Thietje; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
