Barbara J. Franklin, 50, of Grayslake, died Wednesday in her home. Mrs. Franklin was born in Berwyn and had lived in Grayslake for the past 12 years. She was a teacher for three years. Survivors include her husband, Thomas; a son, Thomas II; two daughters, Jeanne and Julie; her mother, Ila Francis; a sister; a stepsister; and a stepbrother. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Aug. 16 in St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belevidere Rd., Grayslake. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 16 in Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
