Leon Atkinson, 74, a former owner of a stone quarry company and heavy equipment broker, died Saturday in the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. Mr. Atkinson owned Litchfield Stone Quarry in Rochester, Ill., for 10 years. He worked independently in Aurora as a heavy equipment broker. Mr. Atkinson also was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Garrity and Chirs Joseph ; five grandchildren; a brother; and a sister. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Deleiden Lake Street Mortuary in Aurora.
