Thomas Shanley, 65, of Libertyville, died Friday in Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. A native of New Jersey, Mr. Shanley was a graduate of St. Peter’s College in Jersey City. He was a Navy veteran and was retired from Continental Can Co., where he held sales and management positions. Mr. Shanley had lived in Libertyville for more than 20 years. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Joan; three daughters, Patricia Frank, Kathleen Shanley and Jane Gorsline; a son, Thomas; six grandchildren; and three sisters. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday in McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple St., Libertyville.
