The widow of Jack Kent Cooke must leave the couple’s mansion and will not get a $10,000 monthly allowance from the estate of the late Washington Redskins owner, a judge ruled Wednesday.

He denied a request by Marlena Ramallo Cooke to stay in the $3 million Washington house with living expenses while her husband’s will is settled in court. Mrs. Cooke appeared in Fauquier County Circuit in Warrenton, Va., Wednesday but did not testify and refused comment afterward.

Cooke cut his wife out of his will weeks before he died April 6 at 84. Lawyers for his estate claim Mrs. Cooke violated a premarital agreement by abandoning him in the last weeks of his life.
