Robert W. Mead Jr., 69, of Schaumburg, died Saturday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. Born in Albany, N.Y., he was president of the Mead Co. and a co-founder of The National Association of Down’s Syndrome. He was a volunteer at Misericordia and a member of The Art Glass Suppliers Association. He is survived by his wife, Mary J.; three sons, Scott, Robert III and Christopher; and one sister. Mass will be said at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel at Misericordia North, 6300 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago.
