Pauline C. Fox, 83, a former teacher at Mather High School in Chicago, died Monday in her home on North Lake Shore Drive. Mrs. Fox was born and raised in the Albany Park neighborhood and attended Northeastern Illinois University. She worked as a typing teacher at Foreman High School during the 1950s. In the early 1960s, she went to Mather. When she retired in the early 1980s, she was the head of the business department. She volunteered after retiring, working at Cook County Hospital in the pediatric wing and Recording for the Blind, a Chicago-based recording studio. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Seidman; three grandsons; and a sister. Services will be held at noon Thursday at Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park.
