I read with great interest about St. Mary’s Chapel in West Chicago (“At your service/Commerce and Catholicism meet at the mall,” Tempo, Aug. 5)). My interest was piqued because for more than a decade Congregation Kol Ami, a reform synagogue, has been a tenant of Water Tower Place on North Michigan Avenue.

Like St. Mary’s, we have found that our neighbors–doctors, dentists and shopkeepers–lend a sense of the real world to our worship.
