Edward J. Murphy, 80, died Sunday in Edward Hospital in Naperville. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Mr. Murphy was a resident of Naperville and a former resident of Dolton. He worked as a financial officer for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1966 to 1983. Mr. was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include three daughters, Susan P., Margaret M. Coronado, and Linda A.; two brothers; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Beidelman Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren Ave., Naperville. Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.
