Jacinto M. Gonzalez, 65, who retired seven years ago after 32 years at GE-Hotpoint Co. in Cicero, died Friday in Ravenswood Hospital. Mr. Gonzalez was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, but lived most of his adult life on Chicago’s Northwest Side where “he just worked hard and provided for his family,” said his son Mario, a Chicago police officer. Other survivors include his wife, Maria Del Refugio Gonzalez; a daughter, Sandra; three other sons, Sergio, Jorge and Oscar, also a Chicago police officer; a brother; three sisters; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3546 N. Paulina St., Chicago.
