CGI Holding Corp. reported second-quarter pro forma profits rose 33 percent, to $134,065, or 2 cents per share, from $100,948, or 1 cent per share, in the year-earlier period.
Pro forma results reflect CGI’s operations as if the company existed at the start of the year. The company, formerly known as Gemstar Enterprise Inc., completed a reorganization on Aug. 4 with the acquisition of Milwaukee-based Roli Ink Corp. and Brookfield-based Safe Environment Corp.
CGI, a Brookfield-based holding company with interests in printing ink and hazardous-waste disposal, said revenues in the quarter climbed 19 percent, to $1.9 million from $1.6 million.
For the six months, earnings rose 175 percent, to $423,289, or 5 cents per share, from $153,840, or 2 cents per share, in the 1996 period. Revenues climbed 59 percent, to $4.3 million from $2.7 million.
