The tavern owner in Aurora who protected his property with an electrical bar deserves our thanks (MetroDuPage, Aug. 5). The tavern had been broken into several times previously, and the police were unable to prevent this. The owner certainly should be allowed to protect his own property, and he did post signs warning of the electrical device.
If something happens to a burglar while committing a burglary, that should just be considered an occupational hazard.
