John S. Hamilton, 76, of Park Ridge, a longtime executive in the concrete industry, died Wednesday in Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Mr. Hamilton was with W.R. Grace and Co. and E.W. Zimmerman Construction Chemicals Inc. During World War II, he was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Croix de Guerre. Mr. Hamilton served for 17 years as chairman of Chicago Local Board 14 of the Selective Service System. Survivors include a son, John Jr.; a daughter, Kathleen Bollinger; and a grandson. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines.
