Bernice A. Smitka, 85, of Palatine died Friday in Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Smitka was a clerk in the medical industry. She is survived by two sons, Donald Gray and James Buczynski, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 Palatine Rd., Inverness.
