Antoinette Avanzo, 94, of Elk Grove Village died Wednesday. Born in Sobieski, Wis., Mrs. Avanzo retired after 25 years of service at Brach Candy Co. She also was a home health care aide for six years. Survivors include a son, Richard J. Syslo; a daughter, Nancy L. Carlson; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were held Friday.
